In consideration for being permitted to participate in this track day by Ernie Coates Track Days I accept, agree and confirm that:
1. I am familiar and satisfied with the nature of the Ernie Coates Track Days event and I wish to undertake in the event. I accept that, injury or damage may occur. I understand and accept these risks and take part in the activity at my own risk.
2. I am competent to take part, I am not taking any drugs (whether prescribed or otherwise) that may impair my ability to take part and I do not suffer from, and have no history of, any medical condition that could affect my ability to take part in this event. My eyesight (with appropriate corrective lenses if required to be worn) is adequate to safely operate a motorcycle on a race track.
3. I will satisfy myself (by sighting laps or otherwise) before taking part in any activity that the venue and the track is acceptable to me regarding features and layout.
4. I understand that Ernie Coates Track Days and/or the venue operator, reserve the right to refuse circuit access to any person or bike it deems unsuitable or not meeting required standards. This includes, but not limited to, those of noise emission relating to this event/venue. I have informed myself of these requirements and understand and accept that in this circumstance no person is entitled to compensation or refund.
5. I understand that Ernie Coates Track Days will not be scrutineering participant’s bikes before permitting them on the track, nor has he any control over the level of competence of other participants. I am responsible for ensuring that my bike meets the minimum safety and quality requirements as required for the event.
6. I understand and accept that Ernie Coates Track Days (and/or other participants and/or venue operator) does not carry insurance to cover my bike and therefore damage to my bike (whether controlled by myself or someone else) in any circumstance is entirely my risk and responsibility.
7. I understand that uncontrolled racing is prohibited, and that the purpose of the event is to allow the participants to improve their skills and learn the handling characteristics of the bike they are using. I accept that should Ernie Coates Track Days or representatives of the venue owners deem that I am participating in a manner that is dangerous (to myself or others) or that contrasts with these rules, they have the right to exclude me from further participation without compensation or refund. I myself am responsible for the way in which I use the track.
8. I shall wear suitable protective leather clothing covering fully arms, feet and legs meeting CE standards for motorbike racing protection and preferably one piece. Where two piece they shall fully zip together. I shall wear and correctly fasten helmet meeting approved standards at all times whilst on the circuit.
9. I will pay due attention to any instructions given to me at the event by Ernie Coates Track Days or the venue operator staff. This includes, but is not limited to, attending a participant briefing and conducting formal practice laps. Should I not understand or accept any of these instructions I will not participate in the activity until satisfied.
10. Any damage to the venue caused by me will be my responsibility and I shall pay the venue owners an amount equaling the cost of repair/replacement. I fully indemnify Ernie Coates Track Days or any other relevant organization or person from such costs.
11. Ernie Coates Track Days (or approved partners) may take photographs and/or video footage of me during this event and Ernie Coates Track Days may use such photographs or footage (including my likeness and image) for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice or payment.
12. I agree that any images, moving or still, that I or any person attending as my guest, make at the event, are for my own personal use only. If any of these images are used in any commercial enterprise, publication, broadcast or any other form of public media without permission I agree to indemnify Ernie Coates Track Days of any fees levied by the circuit operators.
I agree to make no claim against Ernie Coates Track Days or his officers or agents in respect of any loss or injury suffered by me during a track event, and to indemnify them against their costs and losses arising out of any claim made against them by anyone to the extent that such costs and losses are attributable directly or indirectly to my participation and/or attendance of the track day/activity. I have read and agree with the above declaration and indemnity.
